• Registered nurses perform technical procedures, assessments, observation and instruction.
• Physical therapists assist in motion restoration through a variety of exercises and therapies.
• Occupational therapists assist clients in self-care through instruction, assistance devices and home adaptation.
• Speech therapists work toward improving communication skills or physical abilities such as swallowing.
• Medical social workers help patients and their families deal with the financial, emotional and social problems that occur as a result of illness or disabilities.
• Certified home health aides chart vital signs or assist clients with personal grooming.
